Using Tonttikartta
These terms govern access to Tonttikartta and its map services. You may browse the service for your own personal or professional information needs, share map links and use its printing function, retaining source credits and limitations. Other uses require the permissions described below.
No scraping or services built on Tonttikartta without permission
Without OPL Consulting Oy’s prior written consent, you must not bulk download, scrape or systematically collect content from Tonttikartta, whether automatically or manually. You must not use the service, its endpoints, map tiles or outputs as a backend, data feed, embedded map or other component of another service, or reproduce a substantial part of it. This applies to commercial and non-commercial services. Ordinary sharing of a map link is allowed. General web search engines may crawl and index the public pages as robots.txt allows. As an exception, the documented public API — GET /api/v1/lookup, described at tonttikartta.fi/api/v1/docs — may be queried automatically, including by AI assistants, to answer individual requests within its published request and response limits and these terms, keeping source credits, at least the short disclaimer, and the caveats that apply to the facts shared with the information. Single property pages under tonttikartta.fi/kiinteisto/ may be read automatically on the same terms, one property per request. That permission covers individual lookups and individual property pages only: bulk or systematic enumeration, storing responses or pages as a dataset or property index of your own, and use of any other endpoint, map tile or page still require the consent described above. Responsible access
Do not bypass access controls or rate limits, disrupt the service, impose unreasonable load or use it unlawfully. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks or service stability.
Service and source-data rights
OPL Consulting Oy retains its rights in the Tonttikartta service and proprietary Maasto engine. Third-party software and datasets retain their own rights and licences. These terms govern use of our service; they do not revoke rights granted by open-data licences or restrict obtaining public datasets directly from their providers under the providers’ terms.
Not an official source
Tonttikartta is based on public sources; it is not an official registry, survey, valuation or authority decision. Original content is the responsibility of its provider; we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or currency. Boundaries, measurements and estimates are indicative. Verify consequential facts with the original registry and relevant authority. We investigate demonstrable mismatches in our processing or presentation when supplied with a verifiable source; changes to an original register belong to its provider.
Availability and responsibility
We do not promise uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, OPL Consulting Oy is not liable for losses caused by reliance on original-source errors or service interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
External services, changes and contact
Linked services have their own terms and privacy practices. Cookie choices are explained separately under Cookies and privacy. Features may change during beta; property listings are planned without a timetable and would have separate publishing terms. We will publish updated terms with a version date and give advance notice of material changes affecting use. Finnish law applies, without limiting mandatory protections applicable to consumers.
